When I found out my niece, Scarlett, was having an "Alice in Wonderland" themed party I thought it would be fun to create a special floral letter "S" to be used at her party this past weekend. For the flowers I used a mixture of: hydrangea, spray roses, standard roses, and ranunculus. The hydrangea are awesome for this style because one bunch can be cut into smaller pieces that you can use throughout the shape. They also cover a fair amount of space and add another texture to the arrangement. I also highly recommend having spray roses on hand because they were perfect for filling in little gaps where other flowers would have been too large. I did not expect to depend on them as much as I did, so definitely take that into consideration when choosing your flowers!
Overall, I was pleased with how this project turned out and can't wait to play with this style of arrangement in the future with different shapes/letters.
